My title

From the Superintendent

I would love to say Spring is here but I am also happy to see we are finally getting some quality moisture.

We are getting close to the state PARCC tests coming in March.  Your students might come home telling you that they are doing something different in school over the next couple of weeks.  We are working on filling in "gap" areas that each student has in the standards.

Along with the PARCC we have winter athletics coming to a close and I wish each team success in both the district and state tournament.  It looks like GMCS has several great teams headed to state.  I would also like to congratulate Toshio Herrera and A.J. Starkovich for placing 2nd at the NM State Wrestling Championships.  A big shout out to Jasper Denetclaw for becoming the 285 lb. state champion!!!  Great season coach Starkovich!

Parents encourage your children to join activities.  Spring sports are starting and each school has a number of activities and clubs.  An active child is a healthy child!
